| Quarters West (QW) is a
gracious Williamsburg brick community of 88 lovely townhomes located in
the "town" of Chesterbrook, PA - at the gateway to Valley Forge
Park.
Location and Accessibility
Located just off Rte 202 (Devon and Chesterbrook exits), our village has
access within 10 minutes to the PA Turnpike and the Schuykill Expressway,
the various shopping malls along the 202 corridor from Exton to King of
Prussia, and is within 2-3 minutes of our very own Chesterbrook Village
Shoppes - including Genuardi's. In addition, we have hourly bus service
to the closest Main Line train stations during the day and more frequent
service during rush hours.
Living Space and Price Range
QW's 3-5 bedroom-, 2½-bath units offer a variety of configurations;
for example, end units have dens and formal dining rooms, inside units
have step-up dining rooms off the spacious living room. All but a few
residences have a full, finished basement and a finished loft. These homes
are priced in the $230,000 to $275,000 price range and provide 2200 to
3600 square feet of living space.
The Meaning of Townhome
As a townhome community, the owner owns the plot on which the house stands,
and pays a monthly assessment fee that covers outside maintenance including
lawn, shrub, and tree care; snow plowing; and trash and recyclables pickup
twice a week.
The owner maintains the inside of the home. QW is governed by a Board
of Directors, a set of governing documents including By-laws, and Rules
and Regulations, and is maintained by a professional community management
company contracted to the village. There are no restrictions regarding
age. QW is remarkably suited as a family-oriented as well as a singles-oriented
community.
Awards
QW is proud to have received several awards in recent years from the CAI.
In 1998, we received first place for small villages (less than 100 units)
in both "community as a whole" and in "excellence in landscaping".
In 1999, we received the CAI Gold Seal award for complying 100% with national
standards for planned communities. The CAI (Community Association Institute)
is a national organization of planned communities and is recognized all
over the US. The CAI has been extremely successful in providing advice
to communities and also serves as a watchdog on our behalf and provides
a conduit to local, state, and federal governments.
